20 Months Old- 3

May 27 - June 2

On Friday evening Evan tripped while he was running and he fell face first into the floor. We had come out into the living for a milk cup refill and when I told him it was time to go rock again, he started to run over to the couch. I picked him up and started to head back to his bedroom. When I looked at face he was covered in blood-his whole face was bloody! He split open the skin underneath his eyebrow, a little over a half an inch. I had a complete panic meltdown, Dan was at work, so I called Grammie-who came right over with Poppie and Tara and Austin. At first I thought he might need stitches, but we decided not take him. I put him to bed and checked on him several times during the night. Ellie got covered in big blood splotches throughout the night.

In the morning I got up and took Evan over to see daddy at the station (beach). And he said it looked worse than he had pictured, but it had a little scab and Evan was doing fine. Poor baby. All this week he has been pointing to it, he hasn't forgotten that it is there yet. I make him wear a bandaid during the day and just neosporin at night. It is starting to look better, but I am hoping the scar it leaves behind won't be too noticeable.

This week is packing week. Evan is going to live in a new house. So far he loves the new house. I keep trying to tell him that he gets to bring all his stuff with him and we are going to sleep in it at night soon. Right now it is empty and fun. It has stairs which Evan loves, the novelty of them will be there for a while I am sure.
