22 Months Old- 3

July 29- August 4

This week we switched Evan to cloth diapers. Aunite Tarie finally convinced me and I will say that the world of cloth diapering is still a big stressful mystery to me, but we are trying out the Flip system first, so far we like the stay dry inserts, but the covers are a bit smallish in the thigh -nothing unbearable though.

Also this week we started trying to really talk up going #2 in the potty. Evan is a big boy now. It is going ok. Hit or miss, sometimes he seems to be scared to go, so we are trying not to put pressure on him. Right now he doesn't really want to be picked up and taken to the potty…he got a new big blue ball from Walmart for the first time he did his poop in the potty, Saturday July 30th. It was a bit traumatic for him, but hopefully he will forget about it soon, and hopefully getting a special treat afterwards will help too!

This week I stunk a taking new photos! We had a prett ylow-key weekend and spent all day Sunday at Grammie & Poppie's house and ate dinner there. Evan was the no nap kid, he decided at around 4pm he was tuckered out, but only ended up staying asleep about 40 minutes!

Here are some randoms over the past month from my cell phone:

Evan in the car on July 4th!
Here we are standing in front of our home!
Evan in the dog crate!
Styling while on our way to Nana & Pa's house in the morning! Coolio!
Down! Evan learned the word "down" and that is all we hear now!
Helping?!? We have one room that has no purpose and just has boxes in it for now.
Bath time in the new tub!
Showing off some new boots Ali sent for him! He loves them!
He can put these on all by himself and does so when he wants to go outside. Oh and if you try to put other shoes on him, he has a fit and will only wear these ones right now.
Evan is showing off his new 'bummies' cloth diaper
Here is Evan in Elmo slippers examining his drill, which he had dropped off the second floor banister and got sent to time out because he could have hit dog or broken the fishtank pulling a stunt like that! And this time-out did not go well at all, he wouldn't stay where I put him! He just wanted to hug and makeup, after trying about 20 times to make him stay I gave up, it wasn't worth the battle.
