August 17- August 23
Friday Gran-gran watched the kiddos at home and we all had an exciting day when Apple escaped and it took us two hours or so to find her! Evan yelling Apple with us was precious though, he wanted his dog back, he loves those dogs. I was thinking to myself that she was gone and I was going to have to break it to Evan that she was not coming home. Thankfully we did find her, she had been across the street the whole time.
Saturday and Sunday I had baby showers to attend that I took Amelia with me. She got a million compliments! Everything from her name to what a good baby she is. I feel bad when people ask certain questions though, they are like oh you aren't gettting any sleep, right? wrong! my princess sleeps thru the night and pretty much has always done so. Then people ask, Is she always this good? and the answer is yes. Yes she is always good for her mama when she knows her comfort hugs and food are close as can be :-) She is a very content little cupcake girl!
Saturday Dan and Evan went to a waterpark in Coral Springs. And Evan had a blast, he wants to go back asap. Sunday Evan went to Nana's house and also had a blast.
Monday I took both kids with me grocery shopping for the first time on the full one hour two week shopping trip. I gave Evan a lollipop for riding in the regular cart (no boat-cart). I moby wrapped up Amelia. And we did good, except halfway thru Evan started yelling to change his diaper, change it right now!!!! So I had to stop, go to the restroom and change him quickly. Thank goodness for Publix employees who help me unload my cart and load up my car :-) I could not manage all that alone.
When I put Mia in the Moby wrap she does not go to sleep like baby Evan used to do, instead she stays wide awake but is happy. So during the whole shopping trip she was just looking around watching everything and as soon as I put her in the carseat she conked out. She is too funny!
Wednesday I asked Evan what he wanted for his birthday present. A Tarsin! he says. I am like is that a game or puzzle? Thinking maybe he saw a commercial....and he just looked at me like why don't you get it mom, a tarsin! a tarsin...hmmmm. So later on I said to Dan, Evan wants a Tarsin for his birthday present but I have no idea what he is trying to say, do you? And of course daddy knew that Evan was trying to say: Guitar Stand. LOL. He has wanted one for a few weeks now. So cute. Billy & Deb, our friends, got him a guitar last Christmas that he loves. I need to take a video of him "playing" it. I see guitar lessons in Evan's near future :-)
Thursday I was 0-2, tried to go to the library and it was closed, then we tried to the park and there were too many lawn mowers out. Headed home and played at home instead. Evan and I made an art project (which he then wanted to sleep with because he loves it so much)! We had french toast for dinner with bacon.
