November 16 - November 22
Thursday was Thanksgiving Day and we went over to Poppie and Grammie's house where we got to visit with all our family Aunt Joni, Troy, Jake, Alex, Great Grammie and Great Grandpa, Tara, and Austin. I think this was only everyone's second time seeing Mia and my cousin's first time! :-)
Evan wanted a tattoo! LOL! I said ok but he had to put it somewhere that would not show!

Saturday morning we drove up to St. Augustine, Fl for a long weekend visit.
The kids did pretty good in the car. Evan was a bit challenging to keep entertained, he would take a nap since we left around 9am, we arrived around 3ish I think. About twenty minutes after we got there, Evan had Jay digging in the backyard for worms and a bonfire built! :-) We walked over the park before dinner, Evan and Ella played and played! After dinner we went to see the Christmas Tree Lighting, but had just missed the ah-ha moment by minutes, apparently we could not walk fast enough with three little ones and everyone started pouring in the opposite direction. So we went to Ali & Jay's Flagler alumni openhouse where they had dessert and storytime. Then we went and walked back on the city square so Evan could actually get close to the Christmas tree because that was all he cared about. He loved it!
Then on Sunday we up to the Jacksonville zoo. It was a chilly windy morning but it warmed up fast and we had a blast. We got to see rhinos super close, they came right under the observation deck. Evan fed giraffes branches with leaves, rode the carousel, and hugged a goat! :-) What more can you ask for?!? We also had our Christmas photos taken by the talented Ali right in the zoo. After no nap Evan was a tad uncooperative (ahem!) but a little 'lou lou skip to my lou' and he was back to smiles! Mia of course was smiley as ever! Love her!
Monday was cold and wet! We ended up going to Ripley's to try to stay warm, but Evan didn't really like it. He just wanted to leave and was much happier back outside even though it was cold and wet.
