April 5 - April 11
Amelia has gotten even better at saying "mama" this week! She is so cute! I took a video of her saying it, of course. Her second word!!!! Yes!!!! I am so excited because Evan said "Dada and Doggie" before he ever said Mama! Amelia is such a mommy's girl! She has been having a tough time with spearation anxiety from me lately. She cries hysterically when I leave her, even squealing like a little pig like she does when she gets a shot :-( it is so sad. and she won't let anyone hold her if I am in the room. I am not sure where this came from, there have been a few times where I left her while she was napping and she woke up to someone else (mainly daddy), so maybe she feels abandoned :-(
On Monday the 8th we went to a new park in parkland called Liberty Park (new to us). It has a splash park and the kids a lot of fun. The neighbors came over and met us there to play too!
Then later in the afternoon we had a playdate int he backyard and I filled up the pool for the kiddos! Even Amelia went in! Everything was fun until evan decided to taunt Isabel, he gets her to chase him by taking something she wants, so he took the t-ball stand and took off. We thought he was just going to her yard the nexthouse over because he has done that before and kinda did a loop, but this time he just kept going and didn't stop!!! I had Amelia in my arms and then I was watching the neighbors two year old, so I had to take her two year old to her gated backyard and tell her to sit on the grass and lock her in before I could chasing Evan. He got so far away :-( it was scary!
Luckily he is safe, but he got his first big punishment ever of being grounded until dinner and lost all tv for the whole week (5 days). :-( very sad for Evan, but he did not stop when two adults were following him yelling to stop, turnaround, come back!
And while I am upstairs in Evan's room putting him on timeout grounding, I go back downstairs to let the dogs outside with Amelia and Apple is gone, she ran away. I had left the sliding door open and she jumped thru a hole in the screen. So outside and barfeoot with my baby on my hip I am running around calling for Apple and I hear Evan screaming for me from his second story window, he was very upset I left him behind inside. So then he put his shoes on and came out with me and Amelia in her stroller, and it took us twenty minutes calling for her until a neighbor girl about 6 houses away came out with Apple trailing along behind her. Apparently Apple decided she needed a new family :-(
It was quite a day full of unwanted excitement!
