14 Months Old -1

November 19 - November 25

Friday mommy and Evan went grocery shopping together. He is always very good, he eats his snack and points at every single balloon (bloo!). Daddy did dinner/bath/bedtime with Evan while mommy had to go to work.

Saturday morning mommy and Auntie Tarie took Evan shoe shopping (um nightmare!) I need to find somewhere online that has a foot measure thing to print on paper. I *think* he is either a size 5 or size 6. Size 4 is for sure too small. I think the worst thing for me is he can't tell me if they are hurting his feet, so I am completely paranoid that I am stuffing his feet in shoes that are too small. I actually ended up getting two pairs of size 6 shoes, but after he wore them a bit at home I think they are too big and put him back in his 5's for now. Also (no offense) but Evan has Flinstone feet, they are so puffy, some types/brands of shoes just don't fit his fat feet at all. Possibly he got this trait from me???

On Saturday afternoon Evan went to Wyatt's first birthday party at the park (daddy was working). Besides almost giving mommy a heart attack we had fun. The playground was just a little big for him and too crowded for adults, so I was trying to hold Evan's hand thru the slats and he wanted to go DOWN the steps (up he is pretty good at, down not so much) and when I flipped out he laughed about it!!! Little booger! Wyatt's mommy said, oh I've never heard Evan laugh! LOL! Evan laughs and smiles all the time, but mostly at home, when we are out especially lately he can be quite shy.

some black and whites:

Here we are waiting for Santa....

Our Santa photo from Sunday! Santa beamed himself all the way from the North Pole just to meet Evan Daniel! And Evan told him he wanted one of everything!!!

We know one thing he wants badly is a pillow pet! And we are going to get him one (shhh!!!) He watches the commercial in awe (they play it on sprout a lot). And we passed by the mall booth on our way to Santa and Evan's head whipped around to stare at the pillow pets! We let him hold some and try some out, we almost bought him one right then, but as we all know mommy has a weakness and it wouldn't have been a Christmas present because he would have just gotten it then. So we decided that daddy and mommy will go back to the mall when Christmas is only a few days away. Hopefully I'll be able to hold out the few days to give it to him!

On Sunday Evan took a 4 hour nap, we were waiting for him forever to wake up! And on Monday he took almost a 3.5 hour nap. I hope this means his teeth are done bothering him and he can finally relax a bit!

The dogs licking Evan and him laughing!!! I bet it tickles!

Cute story: Every morning Evan snuggles with me in the bed, on mornings when Dan leaves for work early we have the whole bed but Evan usually ends up wanting to lay on me with his head on my chest. He gets very hot and sweaty being so close to me, but he still likes to cuddle! So he was doing this on Tuesday morning, but it was time to start getting ready for breakfast, so I was said, good morning Evan, it is time to wake up! nothing....so I put him on his back and I sit up and I am looking at with his eyes squinted shut and I say to him, Evan it is time to wake, and I sing him good morning, good morning, good morning to you! nothing.....he did not want to wake up and was ignoring me! Finally I get him to open his eyes and he is all smiley and happy! Love him!

Evan is so tall! I don't when my baby turned into a big boy, but he can reach all sorts of new things now, nothing in our house is safe, he can reach doorknobs, he take things from the tops of counters and stoves.

Also Evan scooches off our high up bed, he throws his legs over first and scoots down on his belly until his feet reach the floor. I think it is too high for him and I hold on to him, but he does it fearlessly! At least he isn't going head first anymore! Thank goodness for that!

Evan on Wednesday! I got off work early so Dan and I took Evan to the park!

Evan going down on his belly, first time ever he did it by himself!
(usually he just walks off the the slide)
