Mother's Day Weekend: I am slacking on photos here lately, sheesh, I took no photos all Mother's Day :( We had a nice time though, Nana, Grandpa, and Uncle Mike came over to our house in the morning to eat some cookies Evan made on Saturday and drink some tea. Then we went over to great-grandma Toni's house in the afternoon to see Evan's great-grandparents, Grammie, Poppie, Auntie Tarie, Uncle Austin, Great-Aunt Joni, Troy, and his second cousins Jake & Alex. We watched some fishing, splashed in the pool, ate Italian food, and visited. Evan was a little wary at first, but he warmed up after a bit and was ready to play with everyone.
On Monday Evan went to his first swim class!!! He did good! It is a mommy & baby swim class, so we do things together. Evan did kicking, paddling, blowing bubbles, going underwater, floating on back, and jumping in. He was/is very clingy in the pool. Not a little fishie yet. We'll see, he loves the city pool because they have a beach entrance and he loves to run in and out and had more fun doing that than the class, we might go early next time. Update: Wednesday's swim class was a bust. Evan threw a fit and wouldn't stop crying. I tried a few times to force him to particiapte but he was miserable and crying, so we left early, he was quite disruptive and it was a little embarrassing.
