8 weeks old

November 12 - November 18

Evan is getting a lot more smiley lately! I love it! He also laughs a little, it's kinda sounds funny though and sounds like har-har-har.

Evan really loves music, Dan has this app on his iphone of music around the world and Evan is just mesmerized by it. He really loves his daddy, he will just stare at Dan with the most love in his eyes. I think they have really bonded!

We are on 3-4 oz a feeding about every two hrs during the day.

He hasn't been sleeping so great at night since I've been back to work. He changed his bedtime to 9pm instead of 8pm and he wakes at least once sometimes two times during the night. So now Evan goes to bed between 8-9pm. We do bath at around 7:30 and then I nurse him and hold him until he is ready to go to bed. I swaddle him, turn on his noise sometimes, and turn off the lights. He still sleeps in our room though in his pac n play thingy. I usually could get him to bed at 8pm before I started working and he would sleep until 3 or4am. (8 hr stretch) Now it is more like 9pm bedtime though and then he wakes up twice with about 4 hrs in between, so he is kinda being a little booger right now when I know he can do twice as long! He stays up for about 30-45 mintues each time for a quick diaper change and then a nursing session.

I use his moby wrap when we are out and about running errands. I actually took him to a bridal dress shop with me and Brenda over the weekend, we were out for about 2 hours and he slept the whole time in his moby wrap. I am going to buy a real carseat for my car soon so we don't have to keep moving his base, plus the infant carrier with him in it is too heavy for me to manage, I'm gonna let Dan have that.

Dan is staying home with him during the weekdays and he is doing great! Although Dan swears he is a little more fussy for him than me I think he has gotten the hang of it and has little daddy-methods that are so cute, I think it has been good for him to spend so much time with Evan. But I still wish I could be at home with him too, I miss my boys during the day for sure!

On Saturday (14th) Evan went to his first kid birthday party for his new buddy AJ who turns one on November 17th. The party was at Tradewinds Park on the south side.

What else? Still won't go for any paci or soothie. We think Evan is around 14 lbs now! He is wearing 3-6 mo clothes. None of his newborn clothes fit and the 0-3 are getting too small too. I also moved Evan to the size 3 diapers as he was peeing out of the 2's a little too often and causing some extra laundry to pile up.

We are doing our 2 month shots on Dec 4th.
