17 weeks old

January 14- January 20

On Saturday we went to a class at the hospital to learn about how to transition to rice cereal and introduce baby foods. We learned a lot. There were so many families there and of course lots of babies. Evan was so good and quiet. I nursed him with my new udder cover which I love, it is a lot more functional than some of the other nursing covers I have seen moms use. So we won't be starting rice cereal at all with Evan until he is 6 months old (mid-march).

Happy 4 month old birthday to Evan! January 17th, 2010 Sunday! I cannot believe how fast time is flying by. It seems the pregnancy goes by agonizingly slow always waiting for the next ultrasound, then the baby pops out, you blink, and he is 4 months old. I don't know what happened. I was telling Dan the other day, remember when we used to sleep with the closet light on? We did that for a few weeks when we first brought Evan home since I was up so often during the night, it made it easier to have a light on. And I just remember how exhausting the first 4-5 weeks were, we almost couldn't go anywhere because Evan would just cry the whole car-ride, and he would poop every 5 minutes and scream hysterically and he was always hungry and fussing about that. He is about a million times easier now. I think this is probably one of the best phases of his baby-life because he isn't teething yet or crawling (aka mobile), he is pretty much happy all the time and pretty laid back. We are having a blast!

A new thing Evan does now (besides a little more giggling) is blowing raspberries! He learned how sometime this week and does it occasionally.

He also thinks the word "stinky" is hiliarious! Dan says it is the way in which I say it that makes him think its funny, but I don't know- something about stinky he likes.LOL

Evan didn't talk much before 24 months and then all the words came out at once and by 25 months we were unable to keep track of all his new words!!!

At 4, right after his birthday Evan finally learned to say his sisters name correctly!!! We were all driving in the car and he just busts out with guess what guys? I can say Amelia!!!! And now he calls her that all the time, Amelia or Baby.
