Amelia ~ 4 weeks old

May 25- May 31

Friday was Dan's first day back to work. Me, Evan, and Amelia spent the morning at Butterfly World with Gran-gran and Pop-pop. Evan went to a sleepover at Gran-gran's house! He was so excited and had so much fun!

Saturday Amelia and I went to Target in the morning and then Aunt Joni came to visit in the early evening. Dan also converted Evan's crib to the toddler rail in the morning.

Sunday morning Daddy and Evan went up to the pool, me and Amelia went to for a short bit. We all went to Nana & Pa's house for dinner. Amelia also seems to have found her voice more, growth spurt maybe? Since she is always hungry! Amelia also turned 1 month old Sunday May 27th! Yay! We weighed her the other day and she was up to 11 pounds.

Monday Dan worked again. Gran-gran came over and we went to Babiesrus then to Gran-gran's house for a BBQ. Auntie Tarie and Uncle Austin were there too! 

Tuesday me and the kids went to storytime at the library. Evan decided that he does not need stay in his crib for nap time, we had a rough hour before I threw in the towel and called it a no nap day. It was horrible, we were all over tired and cranky. Evan ended up getting a boo-boo on his neck actually, he hit his neck on the toddler railing while he was flailing around and it left an awful red mark.

Wednesday Amelia and I went to visit my work and go out to lunch with Cathy while Dan and Evan went to the comic store and toy store. I also got a top lock at buybuybaby for Evan's bedroom to keep him in his room. The past few nights I have been waiting for Evan to fall asleep watching tv in our bed and then moving him over. Wednesday night he woke up at midnight crying for me, I tried the supernanny method of sitting on his bedroom floor with my head down, but after a half hour of Evan still popping his head up every two minutes I gave up, he cried for a few seconds but then fell asleep. 

Thursday Auntie Tara came over in the morning and we went shopping with Amelia at Burlington Coat Factory. It was the first day for the nap with the top lock on Evan's door. He screamed and cried and threw a fit trying to open the door on and off for two hours. When I finally went to get him after quiet time was over his room looked like a bomb hit it, he had all kinds of toys everywhere!- including play-dough, yikes! it was very heartbreaking listening to him cry and beg us to open the door and come and get him. :-( But after his nap he asked for his baby doll (cabbage patch doll Auntie bought him for Christmas, named Baby Ky) And so at bedtime he went and got his baby doll, the paci, and bottle and held it all thru storytime, went and got in his crib, and was stroking his baby's hair and feeding him, and he didn't even cry when I left the room. I think he went right to sleep, he loves that baby doll, it seemed like it provided him some comfort that he needed. Amelia also tried her first bottle Thursday night, she didn't really like it so much.
