October 1 - October 7
Evan likes going for stroller rides around our backyard pool. I take him in circles mostly so I don't have to put real clothes on to walk around the block-we our our pj's in the backyard.
I caught Evan sucking his thumb a few times. He really doesn't like his soothie paci at all. I'm kinda relieved he isn't a paci-kid, he never really cries or fusses. He cries when he poops himself in his carseat (which he poops every time we put him in it!) and he really only fusses when he wants to be picked up and it's more like a grunty cry, like he is saying hey! hold me people!
Evan had his 2 week checkup with Dr. G and weighs 9lbs 6oz. No shots at this appointment. Just a thumbs up from the doctor on his great weight gain and the go-ahead to let him sleep 4-5 hours at night instead of waking him up ever 2-3 hours! Whoo-hoo!
His umbilical FINALLY fell off on October 6th and we got to give him his first real bath in his whale bathtub! He was 19 days old. But he does have a really cute belly button now!

I also had my 2 week pp checkup with my doctor and am doing fine, lost some weight finally so that is good. And my c-section scar is healing fine. I had left Evan at home though to go to the appt thinking I would have time to back home and pick him up in time to go to breastfeeding class at the hospital, but the doctors office was so behind that Dan ended up having to drive Evan up to me (since the doctors is across from the hospital). So Evan and I went to our first breastfeeding class together and it was fun! Evan was the worst dressed baby there though because daddy forgot to take him out of his white onsie and put something snazzier on. The lady was like boy or girl? Gosh I hate that question. I think Evan looks all boy-even in plain white!!! Next time I am gonna make sure he wears some cute boyish outfit!
