Here are some photos from Thursday, Evan's 14 week birthday. Auntie Ali came to visit from St. Augustine with her husband Jay. Ali has been my best friend forever and even though she is an only child she will always be like a sister to me. We ate dinner, visited, opened presents and played a few rounds of Balderdash. Evan, of course, was his usual happy self and both Jay and Ali agreed with our sentiments that Evan is the CUTEST baby in the world. It was Jay's first time meeting Evan and he picked him up immediately from his swing like the two of them were already best buddies. And Auntie Ali said Ev has gotten so big since she last saw him in the hospital!
I got my eye on you mommy.

For someone with minimal baby experience, Jay looks pretty comfy here holding Ev.
Evan's First Christmas!!!
Our Christmas Card we sent out this year:

We love Christmas! Daddy had to work Christmas Day this year so Evan opened most of his presents on Thursday on Christmas Eve. I had to work a half day, but drove straight to Nana's when I got off at noon and found a little sleeping Evan, curled up in his pacnplay. We got to eat our Christmas Eve lunch and open all of our grownups gifts, then we got Evan up and let him "open" his presents, daddy helped. I think he was about as enthusiastic as a 3 month old could possibly be, cute as button.
Then we went home for a bit and got ready for church with Grammie, Poppie, Uncle Austin and Tara. Evan was an angel baby at church, he really enjoyed the loud music and drumming and went fast asleep in Grammie's arms. He woke up when the service was almost over a little hungry but he didn't cry. We went to Grammie and Poppie's after church, Evan sat in a little umbrella stroller while we ate dinner. Then he was a little crabby when it came time to open gifts and ended up falling asleep, so me and Dan had to open most of them without him watching.
Presents Evan received: (Evan says thank you!)
From Santa: Santa filled up Evan's stocking with lots of goodies
(a personalized sippy cup, two teethie toys, and baby spoons) and got him a barnyard house toy that has 4 animals in it that each make their own animal noises, like the pig says "oink!"
Mommy and Daddy gave Evan: a pooh stocking that is mint green and red, a plaid red "E" ornament for our tree, a Night Before Christmas book, leapfrog mypal Scout, lamaze pony that daddy picked that makes horsey trotting noises
Grandpa and Nana gave Evan: two Christmas tree ornaments, one is a daddy & mommy snowman holding a baby snowman, and the other says Baby's First Christmas and has room for a photo of Evan, a seahorse music making stuffed animal, a personalized blue teddy bear that says "Evan's Teddy" and a matching personalized blue fleece blanket that says "Evan Daniel", a complete collection of Beatrix Potter Tales and a clip on frog rattle that vibrates.
Poppie and Grammie gave Evan: a really fun activity mat for tummy-time by bright starts, a glow worm that plays music, a gumball machine ball dropper, a stack o'rings, a sippy cup, bath toys that shoot water and look like monsters, a set of toy chimes, a rocking horse Christmas ornament that says "Baby's First Christmas", a ladybug that lights up and make bug sounds as well as music, 3 Christmas books and one more book that reads along with you.
Uncle Austin and Auntie Tarie gave Evan: a plush alligator learning toy that has teethers on it
Auntie Ali gave Evan: a stuffed bear with a striped shirt and heart on it.
Great-Aunt Joni gave Evan a fisher price phone
Great- Grandpa & Grandma E gave Evan: a paci thermometer, a crocheted hat, a coin set with a birth penny, and a Christmas dog that sings and then wags its tail.
Now Evan's room looks like a toy shop! He has like one of everything. I definately think he is good and set until his birthday! He doesn't have a favorite toy yet, he is pretty easygoing and loves them ALL. He has no idea he is so spoiled.
