December 31- January 6

Happy New Year! I know in 2010 Evan is going to grow and change so much, learning tons of new things and having lots of firsts. I am so looking forward to watching Evan grow, but at the same time I want him to stay small forever and be my little baby. It's scary to think Evan will turning one in 2010. I hope this year goes super slow so I can enjoy every mintue I spend with my sweet little son.

I took Evan to work with me on Thursday! We were requested to work a half dayuntil noon, so off we went at 8:30am to my office. Evan of course was an angel child and slept most of the time and was nursing quietly the other time. Thursday was also New Year's Eve (hence the half day at work) Daddy was working a 24-hour shift so Evan and I went over to Grammie and Poppie's house to enjoy their new firepit we bought them for a Christmas gift and then eat Chinese food. We also got to see the New Years Eve "blue moon". A blue moon is the second full moon in a month. A full moon occurs every 29.5 days, and most years have 12. On average, an extra full moon in a month — a blue moon — occurs every 2.5 years. The last time there was a lunar double take was in May 2007. New Year's Eve blue moons are rarer, occurring every 19 years. The last time was in 1990; the next one won't come again until 2028.

New things Evan is doing lately are jabbering up a storm, he makes certain noises that I think sound like real words/phrases, so I have little madeup conversations with him. Like I will say, "Evan are ready to get out of the bath tub?" and he will make some jibber-jabber grunt, and I will say, "Oh did you say: yes please, all done mommy?"

He is doing pretty good sleeping thru the night, about half the nights I would say though he is waking up at 4am for a snack and then goes back to sleep quickly until 6:30am when my alarm goes off.

Evan always has a smile to share. He shares his smile with everyone who will smile at him and he is quite bashful about it sometimes, looking away and shrugging up his little shoulders. I love the playful side of his personality. He also has this curious side though where he will just stare you down and it almost looks like he is giving you a dirty look.

Evan is officially a big boy, he slept in his own last night for the first time (he always slept in our room in his pac n play). I put him in his crib in his own bedroom and he slept 9 hours until morning, I could hear him grunting and went in to pick him up and he gave me his usual big smile. Love him!

We went to the park on Saturday, the Deerfield Beach Arboretum. This was Evan's first real time at a park playground. It was a little bit chilly out. Evan went down a slide with me twice and we did some swinging. I think we wore him out, he fell asleep on the car ride home.

I used older photos to make this design of Evan -its my favorite photos of him right now.
Rusty bit Dan accidently on Wednesday night. Right when I was sticking Ev into the tub, Dan starts screaming. And he was bleeding everywhere. He had been trying to share the end of his apple with Rusty and Rusty gets really enthusiatic about people food because we rarely let him have any, I guess Dan's thumb got a little too close! Poor daddy!

Auntie Tarie came to visit with Uncle Austin and we asked them to Evan's Godparents!

ha!ha! Ev is all bundled up
