21 weeks old

February 11- February 17

Ev found his feet!!! They are his most favorite new toy to play with. Dan actually caught a photo of him on his phone of Ev asleep in the stroller holding onto a foot! LOL!

Evan has started talking to us again. Thank Goodness! Since Saturday Feb 6th. -We had gone out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel last Saturday after Evan's baptism class with Auntie Tarie and Uncle Austin)- I guess it was so loud in there he found his little voice again and is giving imitating words another shot (there were a few weeks there where I guess he was so focused on learning to laugh and laughing he forgot to talk - and by talk I mean baby babble).

His tooth is coming in good, so far so good. He is still sleeping great at night, it is quite an achievement. I just thought being a mom was going to be a lot harder. Ev is making it a little too easy on me! When I go in the morning there he is in the crib smiling away, usually he uses a blankie like a lovey/chewy and is happy as a little clam.

We brush his gums now at bath time (still at 7:30pm like always). He is a big boy I think we will move up in diaper sizes soon (size 4 here we come!). I like for the diapers to go up over his belly button, I am goofy I guess, I don't follow the weight limits on the packages at all! And I am trying to use his 6 months clothes now while they still fit.

Ev still gets the giggles all the time. And he always ends up getting the hiccups, I have given up trying to make him laugh on purpose because the poor little guy sounds so pathetic hiccuping afterwards. But sitting him up and saying "hi" cracks him up, and he still laughs when I say any words he thinks are funny at the moment.

Evan went to doctors on Friday to get his last three 4-month shots. He had bandaids on when I got home from work, but daddy says he did a great job.

Another hilarious thing Ev does is try to sit up. Obviously he doesn't realize he is only 21 weeks old. So only his head comes up off the floor and he ends up doing what I like to call a "baby crunch" (as in ab crunch). I tease him and I say, oh doing your baby crunches? getting a good workout? LOL! Ev with Nana and Miss Beth who was visiting from Georgia and brought Ev his very first swimmie suit! He is all ready for summer-time!
