33 weeks old

May 6 - May 12

Evan had a *major* bathroom problem last week and Daddy had to take him to see Dr. G yesterday. But luckily today while Grammie was watching him he finally went poop. Ahh...the things you rejoice over as a mom...... We all cheered and said "yay!" I am giving him milk of magnesia to help his tummy trouble, and prune juice, and prune baby food. Poor Evan lives on prunes these days....

The cutest thing Evan does right now is he learned how to reach for people. Like when he wants to be picked up and things. And when you pick him up he gives hugs and snuggles as I like to say. They are so nice!!! He also can bust himself out of stroller/car seat when you take the straps off his arms, he pushes himself forward to "help" you get him out of his seat. He also is much more aware of want he WANTS. Which is basically everything you touch. LOL. It is so fun watching him grow and mature.

He has pretty much mastered sitting. He doesn't pull up yet or crawl, but he does scoot on his back in his crib. Any time I put him in the crawl position on the floor he just rolls over and gives me a suspicious look. He babbles a little, but not much. He loves being read to. He loves his CD player toy, he likes to open it and close it, he loves his cups, and his gum ball machine those are his favorites to play with. He also still loves Scout and gives him lots of snuggles, and his dog "woof-woof" gets lots of hugs and bites on the nose. On Thursday on the way home from Grammie's house, I looked in the mirror in my car that I have so I can see Evan when driving and I see Evan in his carseat--he looks like he is asleep and he is sucking on woof-woof's nose!!! Sleep sucking, goofy boy!

Evan is really easygoing, he is becoming a bit more crafty now that he knows there are things he wants to hold and touch and play with, etc. But for the most part he is a happy dude, always has a smile to share (although he tends to give strangers a cool blank stare when they try to flirt with him). Unless he is tired or hungry he is usually in a good mood.

Evan shownig off in his fancy new stroller! This stroller is cool because it holds up to 45 pounds and it can face in either direction, so Evan can face us and we can talk to him instead of him facing outward.

Grandpa and Evan playing with wrapping paper, on Saturday morning. We went over to celebrate Mother's Day early since Dan is working on the real Mother's Day.
I SEE you!

Our Mother's day at the zoo. We went to West Palm Beach Zoo (Drehr Park Zoo). It is a smaller zoo. Evan seemed to like it though. There were a few things he saw like an emu, the otters were our favorite, he saw the bird show. A lot of the animals were resting because it was too hot to play.
Peacock with Dan and Evan!
Watching the bird show, they sent out a pig first that was funny! As soon as we got to the car and lifted Evan out of the stroller he fell asleep and slept the whole way home. I guess we wore him out and he didn't want to miss any of the action at the zoo for nap time.
who's ready to go to the pool!
humpffff

Me and Evan went over to have Mother's Day with Auntie Tara who was working watching Ella-- so we met Grammie, Poppie, Uncle Austin and Auntie Tarie at Ella's pool with Ella. Here they are sleeping at the pool. Crash and burn for both Evan and Ella. Their pool is so nice!

We had lunch at the pool, Publix subs, and Evan was acting like he wanted some so I gave him pieces of my bread and tomato - and he gobbled it up. Who knew? Tomatoes are now his most favorite food to eat. Yum!
Hi!
Helping open Grammie's Mother's Day present. We got her a photo frame.

Priceless card Evan made me for my first Mother's Day.
All my cards! I love being Evan's mommy!!!! Evan and Dan got me hoop earrings and Evan and Grammie got me a spa gift certificate. I am lucky!
