44 weeks old

July 22 - July 28

Evan's tooth #8 made an appearance last week! Bottom right side this time. I can't believe he has so many teeth!!

On Friday mommy and Auntie went to A Latte Fun with Evey. He had a blast, it had been a few weeks since we last went and this was his first time going since he learned to crawl. The first thing he did was head right for the trampoline, then he wanted to go into the foam pit. The we went down the slide and Ev crawled through the fabric tube, he tried to eat a spiky ball and piece of fake toast, we stacked some cardboard bricks, and then Evan was tired and ready to go. We wore him out!

And I am trying to come to terms with the fact that Evan needs a hair trim. He does. I really don't want to cut it at all!!!! But he is such a cute kid, I think he deserves to have nice hair and not crazy-hair just because his mom can't bear to change anything about him.

Evan on Saturday morning eating breakfast (waffles & banana) and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney channel.

......and SURPRISE!!!!! After I cut his hair!

it got a little too short in some places, but I think did an okay job, won't scar him for life or anything!

Evan on Sunday at our pool party/bar-b-q. Billy and Deborah came over to swim and grill up some cheeseburgers! FUN!!!

It was five bucks at tj maxx, we couldn't pass up that deal!

he has puff crumbs on his face!

Evan had a rough day on Sunday. Ev had a short afternoon nap and after swimming he was cranky and tired. He bumped his head on the coffee table (lost his grip) and then at dinnertime he was in his high chair and everyone was standing up in the kitchen fixing plates and Evan dumped glass of ice water on himself. He screamed like the world was ending, I think it really shocked him. So we got him into PJ's and he ate dinner and no problem and then we tried to play a game of UNO afterwards, but it ran into bathtime, so I gave Ev his bath and laid to nurse him. He closed his little eyes like he always does, and I sorta rushed him because I wanted to go relax and watch tv, so I picked him up to carry him to his room and his eyes fluttered open like he was looking for our company (which had left), so I put him the crib and he did not like that idea and wouldn't lie down. But I knew he was really tired so I was going to let him pout it out and figured he'd be out quickly. So I went to the kitchen got a pre-poured glass of milk from the fridge. I turned on the TV and Evan was still crying so I stood there for a few seconds I was 50/50 on going to pick him up, but Dan wasn't home, so I was going to get him and let him hug and watch the show with me because I knew he was tired and would fall asleep. So I go into his room to pick him up and he is covered in vomit, as if he had face-planted into it. Oh, it broke my heart. Poor baby! Thank goodness I went to get him!!!! He literally had only been in there pouting/fussing for like less than 3 mintues, maybe one minute. So anyways we took a rinse off shower together and he fell asleep in the shower, very soothing and relaxing. I quickly got him into PJs, turned off all the living room lights, and then we cuddled up together on the couch and watched tv together for a bit. Dan got home and changed his bedding so we could lie him back down in his crib. I don't know if his stomach was upset, or if the crying made him throw-up, or what. I have no idea, but I did enjoy my extra Evan cuddles, it was nice. I checked on him a few times during the night, he was immediately all better though, just a one time thing.

Here is Evan at the park on Tuesday evening. He basically just sat in the grass and played with my car keys for an hour. He didn't want to swing or crawl or anything.
