July 1 - July 7
Mommy has a four day weekend for the July 4th weekend! Yay! Unfortunately daddy has a regular two day weekend though. Friday morning I was lying in bed with Evan and he was blabbing away (gagagaga....gogogogooogooogooogooo) and then all of the sudden he got really quiet, so I opened my eyes to peek at him and he had feathers in hands!!! I guess some were poking out of my pillow and he found them (treasures!) LOL!!!
Saturday we went to the mall! And we ate lunch at the mall together, it was a fun family outing. (we went to get my wedding ring sized up for my b-day).
Then on Sunday we relaxed in the morning and then everyone came over for a birthday BBQ. Although it was rainy and gloomy Uncle Austin managed to cook burgers and hotdogs for us (yum!). Evan gobbled up his cheeseburger bites and pasta salad and tomato for supper! Evan got some presents too, from both grandmas (lol) three books and a small stuffed animal. One of the books has a piano on it that we all LOVE. It was a great day, everything about it was just perfect.
Monday we had a play date with Megan and her son, Hudson. I think Evan had fun playing, he was a bit rough on Hudson when it came to sharing certain toys. It was fun for us to see them play though, and for the mommies to get a chance to chat and catch up! Then me and Evan went grocery shopping in the evening....
Tuesday night I tried to do a photo shoot of Evan with the flag. The photos ended up coming out good! I was hard on him though, now that he crawls it is much more difficult to get a photo of him, he spins around in circles (he does this all the time). And then when I do get him to look at me, he sees the camera and crawls towards me because he wants to pet the camera strap and poke the flash with his pointy finger. He is so goofy!
Wednesday Evan went to see Dr. G with daddy for his 9 month checkup. Big boy! He got two shots and had to get his toe pricked so they could take blood for iron levels. Evan weighs 20 pounds and 15 ounces. He is doing great! The pedi recommended us to a specialist for his hand though, he has always had this bone that sticks out on his left palm, and even though we are pretty sure it is nothing we still want a second opinion on why it is that he has it and we wonder if it will go away on its own or become less noticeable. He had two bandaids on his leg when I got home from work, which he ripped both off himself in his bath and decided to play with them! LOL!
