45 weeks old

July 29- August 4

On Thursday we had a picnic at the beach(well daddy was wokring), but mommy, Auntie Tarie, and Uncle Austin had a picnic with Evan. We went and got subs and drinks and then setup some towels to eat on and afterwards we went into the water. Evan of course decided that it was the perfect time to go to sleep (whiel he was in the ocean)! Silly boy! He seems to really enjoy water though, it puts him right to sleep!

On Saturday mommy and daddy took Evan to the library in the afternoon. He checked out his first 6 books. Although I will say he was much more interested in crawling on the shelfs and spying on other kids than the actual books. He like the mini-table and chairs, but he wasn't really interested in me reading to him while we there (too much other fun stuff going on for him to get into!) A lady at the library said he had a very intelligent look about him. She asked me if I thought he was advanced. I just laughed, of course he is the brightest baby ever- I mean look who his momma and dadda are!!! LOL! We about melted on our outing to the library - it has been so stinking hot this summer, i had a great idea to go in the pool to COOL off. Ha! The water was warmer than bath water, it was disgusting and not refreshing! me and Evan got out after 5 minutes! Grammie and Poppie came over to chill with Evan while mommy and daddy went out to see a movie (whoo! our second time out together). Evan had a lot of fun playing and heard there were a lot of giggles. He was fast asleep when we got home, sleeping angel!

Sunday we just went grocery shopping. Evan is always pleasant on these trips, he rides along in the cart (with his cart cover) and he has a drink and gets a snack (baby cookie or crackers). A lady that worked at the grocery said my baby looked 'bored' and she wanted to give him a balloon, but I said no. He likes to look at balloons far away, but I don't think he wants one, he is too little for that yet. Plus all I need is him actually liking it and then wanting one every time we go (I'll pass on that, I am a mean mommy).

This week is a daddy and Evan week (cause daddy doesn't work til Saturday) and they are having fun doing boy stuff at home. Daddy says Evan likes to pick up dog food and feed it to the dogs and then wash his hand in their water bowl and do it again! LOL! He is pretty smart if he knows dogfood is for dogs!

Here is Evan standing up at the back sliding glass door. Evan is an avid bird watcher. He loves birds, so next weekend we are making a craft project of bird feeders to put around the yard.

He found this moving man thing somewhere, I had to hide it again, it's dirty.

He thinks it is great, he really loves Apple (not licking his face though). I think he is quite gentle with the dogs, we try to teach him to not pinch and pet gently.

A Day in Evan's Life- 10 months old!

Evan eats dinner at 7pm
Bath at 7:30pm
Nurses 7:45 -8pm
Bedtime as close to 8pm as possible.
Sleeps in until 6 or 6:30am, usually right around there give or take.

Nap times at 9:30 and 2:30 usually, for an hour or two, if we get two hours great, if not, then we take what we can get. He likes to take his naps at home in his crib only though, he isn’t so great about napping other places.

Eight Teeth
Crawls a lot. Favorite food is watermelon or tomato, loves puffs also. Likes all veggies, is a great eater.
Babbles in his own language constantly. Says “ungy ungy” when he is mad about something. Says “blah-bah” when he is happy, or he makes this whisper breathing noises when he is excited, like spitty heavy breathing…LOL.
Loves to take out the DVDs from the TV cabinet. Thinks Apple and Rusty are so funny.
Is so cuddlely and huggy all the time, stage 5 clinger.

He likes to watch Mickey Mouse Club House while eating breakfast. He sits in his high chair. I usually sit on a stool next to him and help feed him any spoon foods.

Loves to crawl and touch the dog bowls or swifer mop, loves the dishwasher too. Showers put him to sleep. Loves his sea turtle stuffed animal.
