A Whole New Year! 2011!
Last week Evan put his shoe on all by himself! Yes, just one shoe. I was in my bedroom searching thru the closet for something to wear and Evan came over to me with only one shoe on. I looked down and I told him, "if you put your other shoe on we can go outside". And so Evan left the room, I assumed to go bang on the door and wait for me, but he came back in two minutes later with both of his shoes on!!!! Wow!!! They were his Mickey Crocs, they are slip-ons, but he did it all by himself! So Proud! Of course we went straight out the front door to play outside, a promise is a promise.
Evan is also at the age where if you do something once with him or show him something once, he wants to do it or see it a million times!!! And he will bug us to get what he wants. So we have to be very careful about that, sometimes he learns the most ridiculous goofy habits, and we just hope he'll forget about them, but he never does, like giving the dogs cookies, he's gotta do it everyday now or picking flowers from our backyard.... Playing with my car keys, he'll even point at them and start whining when I am driving the car!!! ..um, obviously mommy is using them right now....
He loves to play with his tool workbench, he loves all the power tools! And the nails and hammer - he plays with it everyday. He also loves his fishtank, he tries very hard to say fishie, it comes out like "eeeshhheeee". He also loves putting mommy or daddy's shoes on his own feet, doesn't matter whose shoe or what kind. He loves ripping the squirt canon off his water play table and just walking around the house with it. Any comic book he loves (hmmmm). Evan likes picking out cheese for himself from the fridge, he loves cheese, if the fridge is open he will run and grab cheese. Mostly I would say Evan is very independent, strong willed, smart, and he loves playing outside! That's our boy!
We went to the light show at Tradewinds park.
Evan playing in our backyard.
He was supposed to be playing water table with daddy, but was just marching around instead.
