January 28 - February 4
Friday was Friday Fun Day for mommy and Evan! Yay! Evan has been taking 3 hour morning naps lately (9:30-12:30!) so when he wakes up it is lunch time and by the go anywhere it is close to 2pm (we are slow eaters). And he also has been taking 2 hour afternoon naps from 4:30-6:30pm. Yikes! He is sleeping all day! We snuck in a quick trip to butterfly world though. And all Evan was interested in was the diaper bag zippers and getting out my wallet!
Evan got bubbles for his big boy baths, he loves picking up the bubbles on his hand. He also is still trying to drink the bath water! LOL!
And operation switch Seymour is in effect. So far he hasn't noticed at all and I doubt he will. He was hugging and kissing him and lugging him everywhere. He also has a new game where he puts Seymour under the covers and I sing him:
Where is Seymour? Where is Seymour?
There he is! There he is!
Evan tried to hide him! Evan tried hide him!
There he is! There he is!
And when I go in to get Evan in the mornings now (7:00am) he wants to bring Ellie with him too (the pillow pet!) He loves that thing!
Another funny thing Evan does now is puts shoes on his hands (like my crocs), daddy showed him once and now he does it all the time. In other hilarious news, when Evan is done eating he puts all his food into the drink cup holder!
Sometimes Dan and I just look at each other and say how special we think Evan is. It is amazing to watch his personality develop. He is amazingly special, so loving and creative about everything he does. I was putting on my makeup on Sunday in the bathroom and I heard all this piano music coming from the living room, so I peek around the corner and Evan has removed the table piano from its base and is standing on it to crawl up onto the coffee table. So I told him " I don't think so" and he got down, and then I peeked to check on him again and he is standing on top of the red armchair clapping his hands, like congratulating himself for a job well done!
We had a relaxing Saturday, lazing around the house. Evan had a fever and woke up at 4am screaming crying and was burning up. He ended up throwing up at around 6am (in our bed)....but after some relaxing and some motrin he was feeling much better by bedtime and the next day no fever. When he was sick all he wanted to do was be outside on the pool deck, walking or strolling around, it was the only thing that would cheer him up!
Playing outside on Thursday! Finally got a pool fence, now outside is more fun!
