January 7 - January 13
On Thursday Evan and I went to the beach for an hour in the evening. The water was calm. I didn't bring the camera with me. Evan is not a beach baby. That is ok. He hates sand on his feet so I had to hold him the entire time, we walked a bit and then he sat in my lap and watched the sea gulls. We had fun together.
On Friday morning we went shopping, to our fave hand-me-down shop, Saplings and got lots of goodies. I think Evan was tired because he was quite clumsy, he tripped and fell and laid on the floor for a few minutes, and then after awhile he slammed his finger in a drawer. Well, his finger turned really red and he kept holding it out like a little hook. So after we got home we decided to visit daddy at the fire station and make sure the puffy finger was ok..
Evan loves going to see the fire trucks, but he didn't like it when daddy set him on a table to examine the finger. Finger is fine.
Then Friday afternoon mommy, Evan, Auntie Tarie, and Uncle Austin went to Butterfly World!
Evan had the best time! He was so proud just to walk around. He wanted to feed the finches leaves! LOL! He loves birds, I got an annual membership, so now me and Evan can go for free whenever we want! It is so close to our house I am sure will go there lots!

Here are some photos from the rest of our weekend/week. Evan does lots of new things now, I'll try to make a list for next week.
Here we are at Tradewinds on Sunday. I thought the train might be running but it wasn't so we just looked at the ponies and farm animals. The horses and ponies were interesting to Evan, he is still too little to ride, but next time we go back. They had like 2 and 3 year olds riding the small ponies, the kids have to hold onto this bar though.

This was hysterical!! Evan kept bringing these goggles to me asking me to put them on his face, so I would put them over his eyes and he would take them off immediately. Then I figured out he wanted to wear them like I wear my sunglasses, he wasn't trying to take them off, just get them up on his head! LOL!

I told him to go get naked. This is what I tell him when it is bath-time and he tries to lift up his shirt! LOL! We have a new game we play in the bath tub now called tug-of waaar! Where we fake fight over a washcloth! It is fun! And I also started filling up the big bathtub while he is in the whale tub, he likes to splash the water in the big tub and is getting used to the idea (good idea Grammie!). Also an added bonus is that I have clean water available to rinse out his hair!!! I gave him the tiniest of hair trims on Sunday to keep it out of his eyes. I threaten to buzz his hair constantly though, I love the way it looks pushed off his face (see above photos), he has the sweetest face!

Trying to get into the garage....
