Evan's 3rd Birthday-- September 17th, 2012

Some oldies but goodies:

Evan had a great birthday! Daddy came home from work and we opened presents immediately! We carried them in to Evan's room and he was excited! He loved his new "way-goes", books, and "tar-sin"!!! LOL! he played with everything right away! Then we all got ready to go to Parrot Jungle, which is where Evan picked to spend the day. I gave him about 3 or 4 options and he pick "parrow ung" We got there at 11:15am. In the car Evan was chatting along happily listening to Dan and I talk. And he goes "Excuse mommy daddy". And I am like "yes Evan?" and he says "I burped! Excuse me Daddy!" LOL! He is so funny sometimes. Also his vocabulary amazes me! It is hard to believe last year he was a little peep saying only a few words and now he uses words like tangled, half, thank you, love you, etc.

At Parrot Jungle we went to all the shows. We did the bird show first and Evan thought the bird on the bike was hysterical! He got away from us a bit at this show though and slid on down to the front all sneakily, the zookeeper had to grab him, which of course freaked him out and he started crying. Definitely not going to get the parents of the year award now, it was a little embarrassing, but I think Evan learned that he should stay next to mommy and daddy.

Evan got to feed goats a bottle or red juice and he even got to feed and pet red kangaroos. The zookeeper had a little joey pouch she wore. The kangaroo's name was Polka Dot. So cute! We also a gorilla getting a bath from a zookeeper. Well the zookeeper was outside the fence, but he filled up a bathtub with bubbles and was trying to entice the gorilla to go in and wash his armpits! LOL

Evan didn't talk much before 24 months and then all the words came out at once and by 25 months we were unable to keep track of all his new words!!!

At 4, right after his birthday Evan finally learned to say his sisters name correctly!!! We were all driving in the car and he just busts out with guess what guys? I can say Amelia!!!! And now he calls her that all the time, Amelia or Baby.
